How to get shoes on your little ones feet
Here are three sure-fire ways to get shoes on your littles ones feet! We’ve all been there when trying to get shoes on our bubs who are too little to understand “push your foot in”. They often curl their toes or wriggle around when it comes time to slip the shoes on and get them out the door! So here are some tips to help get shoes on your bub!
- 1. Lifting their sock from the instep usually forces their toes up and in turn straightens them up and out. Then grab the shoe and place their foot in.
- 2. Slide your finger between the child’s foot and the innersole of the shoe, this way you can manually feel in the child is curling and you can push their little toes out and straight.
- 3. Tickle the sole of the child’s foot as you slide their foot into the shoe. The sensory feeling of being tickled can relax the toes, stretching them out and allowing the shoe to slide on easier!
